8th Festival of Ibero-American Films. Opening session. 4 November2015.

The Brazilian Embassy has the pleasure to announce the 8th Festival of Ibero-American Films in Croatia, from 3 to 18 November 2014, at the Tuškanac Cinema, Zagreb. This annual event, promoted by the Embassies of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Portugal and Spain, will feature 10 contemporary films, according to the attached programme.

As this year's coordinator of the event, the Embassy of Portugal will open the festival on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at 7:00 PM, with the film "The Strange Case of Angelica" (2010), directed by Manoel de Oliveira, the renowned and acclaimed Portuguese director who died in April 2015.

This year, two Brazilian films will be presented at the Festival: "Blindness" (2008) by Fernando Meirelles, and "Bossa Nova" (2000) by Bruno Barreto. For exact dates and more information, please visit the following website: http://www.filmski-programi.hr/.

If you would like to attend the opening of the Festival, please contact the Cultural Sector of this Embassy by sending an e-mail with your name to cultural.zagreb@itamaraty.gov.br, for registration purposes. Those registered for the opening may collect their invitations, valid for two persons, at the box office of the cinema, at least 15 minutes prior to the screening of the film.
