Zagreb is 501 Must - visit destination
NEW RECOGNITONS FOR ZAGREB!
This year for the first time ever, the capital of Croatia is included in the prestigious guides "501 Must - visit destinations" and "501 Must - visit cities". These popular travel guides have written about European and world destinations since 2006 and are issued by one of the UK's foremost publishers “Octopus Publishing Group”.
Both guides provide an overview of various world destinations, and for each of them, on one side, is briefly described what makes specific destination special and what should not be missed. Zagreb is described as a lovely Croatian capital, built in Austro - Hungarian style, full of churches, museums and art galleries, with recommendations to visit: Mirogoj cemetery, Upper Town, Maksimir Park and, of course, Lower town. The fact that Zagreb is not only interesting as a tourist destination, but also as a business one, was confirmed last week in Slovenia. At the recently completed congress fair "Conventa" held in Ljubljana on January 22 and 23, Zagreb won a certificate of excellence and it was included in the top 10 congress destinations. Zagreb Tourist Board greatly appreciates this acknowledgement, which proves once again that our city maintains a successful continuity and quality as a conference destination. Last year, Zagreb won the "Meetings star" as the best congress destination of South East Europe.
